Israeli forces kill Palestinian in raid in occupied West Bank | Israelo-Palestinian conflict

Ahmad Owaidat, 20, was killed in an Israeli raid in Jericho, the Palestinian health ministry said.
Israeli forces killed a Palestinian in a raid on the Aqabet Jaber refugee camp in the occupied West Bank city of Jericho, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The man was identified as Ahmad Ibrahim Owaidat, 20. The Health Ministry said he was shot in the head in the early hours of Tuesday.
Owaidat was transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU) of Ramallah hospital and remained there for several hours before being pronounced dead.
Israeli forces conducted a pre-dawn raid on the camp and arrested at least two Palestinians.
In response to the killings, the Fatah movement in Jericho and the Jordan Valley announced a general strike on Tuesday.
Two more Palestinians were killed last week in the West Bank; Lutfi al-Labadi, 21, and Hanan Khdour, 18, were killed during Israeli army raids in the Jenin area.
Tensions are high in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
An increase in attacks by Palestinians has resulted in the deaths of 14 people in Israel since March 22. Meanwhile, the Israelis have killed at least 46 West Bank Palestinians since the start of 2022.
Incursions by settlers under police protection over the past week, when the Jewish holiday of Passover and the Muslim holy month of Ramadan overlapped, led to daily clashes with Palestinians at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound , leaving many injured and arrested.
Weeks of protests against the forced displacement of Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem and raids by Israeli forces on Al-Aqsa during Ramadan last year, have turned into a widespread uprising across Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories and in an 11-day assault on besieged Gaza Undress.
