There was an interesting combination of technology and science sessions as well as business activities on the space economy. “

– Emma Vardimon, Director of Strategic Partnerships

TEL AVIV, ISRAELL, November 2, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – The inaugural class of the International Space University (ISU) of the Tel Aviv Executive Space Course # ISUESCTLV21 has just completed its first cohort. Twenty-eight participants from Israel and beyond took a course on all things space taught by global and Israeli experts! The lead teacher for this course is ISU BOT member Ofer Lapid, and the organizers include former ISP and SSP Melody Korman and former ESC Ran Livne.

Conferences were held with professional tours, combined with the incredible atmosphere of Tel Aviv. The executive course started off with enthusiasm, laden with knowledge working to remember faces with masks, but everyone immediately jumped into the substantive issues facing the global space industry.

According to executive researcher Emma Vardimon, director of strategic partnerships:

“The course was well organized, exposing me to various aspects of the space industry, helping me to better understand its challenges, its limitations, but also the potential opportunities. It was a perfect mix of topics, people, science and social gathering. There was an interesting combination of technology and science sessions as well as business activities on the space economy. We have received a good introduction to space in general and more detailed introductions on: space propulsion, the system and configuration of the spacecraft, the principles and application of GNSS, etc. The conference on legal issues affecting the special features of space was very interesting and gave us a lot of food for thought. I personally very much enjoyed the space mission design session accompanied by a workshop. This allowed for a hands-on ‘practice’ approach to a space use case and potential future activities, while also contributing to more interaction between course participants. The level and professionalism of the conferences were exceptional, making complex subjects accessible to participants without technological or scientific training. It is important to mention that the week was well organized from an administrative point of view. The Ramon Foundation is certainly the best partner to organize this kind of professional course because of its deep links and its links with all the local actors in the Israeli space, bringing together government representatives, private entrepreneurs and investors. I hope that the International Space University will organize more courses in Israel, involving other sectors and technology communities such as energy, clean technology, agribusiness and digital health.
