bollywood actor Payal Gosh Union Minister, the Indian Republican Party (A) led by Ramdas Athavale joined on Monday. Athawale named her vice-chair of her party’s women’s wing.
Ghosh recently made headlines after accusing filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment. Athawale supported Ghosh and even took her to Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari to seek justice. He demands the arrest of Kashyap.
Speaking at Ghosh’s induction event, Athawale said RPI would get a good rep in Ghosh’s form. “The RPI is always on the side of the victims of injustice. I have received calls from West Bengal asking for justice for Ghosh. “I asked Payal if she was ready to join RPI, she expressed her willingness to do the same,” Athawale said.
Ghosh thanked Athawale for his induction. “I will use my post to bring justice to all women facing atrocities,” Ghosh said.
