“I came to visit a friend. I didn’t think it would be a problem to bring a horse into the building, ”the horse’s owner told police investigators, according to Channel 12.
“Nowhere is it written that it is forbidden to bring a horse,” he added. “I couldn’t leave him outside. It is an expensive horse and it would have been stolen from me.
The network said the two were arrested after a resident of the building saw security video and contacted police.
One of the men was released under restrictive conditions, while the second remains in detention on suspicion of violating house arrest in an unrelated case.
Police are investigating whether the horse was injured in the incident and have asked Tel Aviv Municipality vets to look into the matter.
