Fifteen Palestinians were injured as Israeli forces carried out an overnight attack on the town of Deir Sharaf, west of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
Israeli forces stormed the town on Friday evening and carried out a fierce search operation until Saturday morning after claiming to have foiled a stabbing attack on an Israeli soldier.
Palestinian Red Crescent Society ambulance and emergency director in Nablus, Ahmed Jibril, said The New Arabs Sister site in Arabic language Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that crews treated 15 wounded, including two Palestinians hit by rubber-coated metal bullets and one who was beaten.
The army also closed the main road linking Nablus with Tulkarem and Jenin, forcing Palestinians moving between the two cities to find alternative routes, local sources said. Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.
They added that the Israeli army searched and raided numerous shops and homes and confiscated CCTV recording devices to ensure they were not recorded while carrying out the violent raid.
Israeli forces carried out a similar raid in the Rafidiya neighborhood of Nablus earlier on Friday, arresting a Palestinian who had previously been imprisoned by Israel.
